Nationalist philosophy emanates in the ideologies of national liberation movements. Examples include Nyerere who advocated the concepts of familyhood through ‘Ujamaa’ (“family hood”) in Tanzania, Leopold Sedar Sengor who developed the philosophy of ‘negritude’ where he valorized “certain distinctive and innate characteristics, values and aesthetics among Africans,” Confucianist philosophy in South Korea, and "1 Bangsa, 1 Malaysia" sentiments in Malaysia.
